Good Idea Fairy

Okay gents,

Looking for some ideas, good or otherwise, about making a "Good Idea Fairy Catcher." Kind of like one of those dream catchers that you see here and there or even along the lines of a fly catcher strip.

What would attract a "Good Idea Fairy" into a trap?
Beer ...
Porn ...
Dip/chew/snuff ...
Privates (rank not genitalia) ...

If anyone has any thoughts, or even pictures of any "Good Idea Fairy" catchers already on the market, please post 'em up.

What about a giant can of silly string or shitter deodorizer with a custom made label for it that says something like:

"Good Idea Fairy Repellent"

With a picture of this with a red cross thru it:

Or how about a disabled bear trap with a laminated sign that says:

"Place poorly considered ideas here" on the trigger

Good Idea Fairies love and cannot resist pending deadlines and then come out of the woodwork.

True. The only thing I've ever seen that could actually drive them away was a "real" CSM or a true "no bullshit" COL. They tend to view lesser ranks as inconvenient obstacles to be circumvented or suborned. Anything less than a stone cold, strike them dumb with a well chosen word, killer carnivore becomes a target. Politically Correct cud chewers are their favorite prey. They gather like flies on shit hoping their "Good Idea" will get them recognized and rewarded.

Power point... No good idea fairy can resist a power point slide with a bar or pie graph on it.

And we know how rare "real" CSMs and no bullshit COLs are, almost as rare as hen's teeth.

Hence the unchecked proliferation of "faeries" (of every stripe).

The system is designed to weed them out.

COL Moroney was one of the few who made it. Now that was a real, no BS Colonel. RIP, Boss.

So - is this thread a 'good idea fairy' bit of flypaper? Looks that way to me.

Colonel Moroney rocked. RIP, Sir!

butter bars DO NOT have the market corned by a long shot

In fact, they are some of the most logical thinkers if you look at how well the country (and military) have been doing over the last 5 years

The "Good Idea Fairy" is a mythical beast that can not really ever be captured. Now, the "oryacan bird" (SF Warrant Officers) are easily trapped by a cup of coffee and a half-dozen Krispy Kreams...... Chocalate iced seem to work the best. LOL

The most effective Good Idea Fairies visit when there is drinking involved. You know it is genuine when you wake up the next morning and still think it is a good idea.
