NDD, search Firefox extensions. There's one called "BugMeNot." It fills out forms for news sites automatically so you don't have to sign up to read the article. Works for this site and every other news site I've been to.

That is the link for it.

After installing it, you right click on the username/password field of a news website and click "bugmenot" and it fills in both fields for you with someone elses account information so you don't need to create one of your own just to view a single article.
