"In the statement, the President pays tribute to Muslims across the world and describes Ramadan as a “blessed month” and a “sacred time."

“This sacred time reminds us of our common obligations to pursue justice and peace and to uphold the dignity of every human being.”

Really?

How about this, let's send all those in Washington who think this way to Iraq or Assskinkistan, without any escorts, and let them repeat these words to whomever may show up???

Maybe then "they" would get the message!!!

Ridiculous!

Like the CEO sending a "corporate {Christmas} card" to the Griswolds.

I feel the same sense of embarrassment and shame I did when Jimmy Carter was President.
It's like a national neutering.
When Ronnie got into office it was like our collective balls were restored.

I am not as shocked that he won an election as I am that he won twice.

You would have thought that the first four years would have educated voters.

I can see it now: "Given the extreme danger from extremists the POTUS has proclaimed that, at this critical and dangerous time, it is in America's best interest to defer the 2016 General Election for a brief period. Period."

And how did you arrive at that declarative point of view?

http://uselectionatlas.org/RESULTS/d...&off=0&elect=0

http://www.fec.gov/pubrec/fe2012/2012presgeresults.pdf

http://www.snopes.com/politics/ballot/2012fraud.asp

The only state which came close to anything like that statement was Wyoming which posted a 103.6% voter turnout due to a high turnout of late registrants - and which Romney carried with 68.64% to Obama's 27.82% of the popular vote. And as far as a thrid term goes - well, the Constitution (as amended) has something to say about that.

There are plenty of stories that counter those statistic mention such as this listing with outside links from WND.

http://www.wnd.com/2012/11/the-big-l...fraud-reports/

Snopes..........this is the mantra of Barbara and David Mikkelson

Quote:
The snopes.com web site is (and always has been) a completely independent, self-sufficient entity wholly owned by its operators, Barbara and David Mikkelson, and funded through advertising revenues. Neither the site nor its operators has ever received monies from (or been engaged in any business or editorial relationship with), any sponsor, investor, partner, political party, religious group, business organization, government agency, or any other outside group or organization.

Barbara Mikkelson is a Canadian citizen and as such cannot vote in U.S. elections, register an affiliation with a U.S. political party, or donate to any U.S. political campaign or candidate. David Mikkelson is an American citizen whose participation in U.S. politics has never extended beyond periodically exercising his civic duty at the ballot box. As FactCheck confirmed in April 2009, David is a registered independent who has never donated to, or worked on behalf of, any political campaign or party. The Mikkelsons are wholly apolitical, vastly preferring their quiet scholarly lives in the company of their cats to any political considerations.

Here is more on the factfinders:

http://jacksonville.com/news/metro/2...finders-we-are

The FEC..........I trust their information as much as the BLS Employment Numbers that get adjusted down every 2 weeks after announced and the IRS's ability to retrieve Lois Lerners emails.

Dave Liep's merely parrots what data he receives from his sources:

Quote:
What are the sources of your data?

I strive to obtain data from as many primary sources as possible. Primary data sources consist of original publications produced by official election agencies within each state (the agencies are generally Secretary of State offices or State Board of Election offices). On the site, the title of the data source is located on the bottom of each county-level data page. This data page is linked in at the bottom of each state summary page.

Some state agencies compile data into annual or bienniel publications such as a legislative manual or "Blue Book". Some county-level and state-level data are from these publications. In addition, for a few state/year combinations where I have not yet been able to obtain a more primary source of data, I have filled in the holes using Congressional Quarterly's Presidential Elections 1789-2000. I am continuing to pursue primary sources of all election data to provide a complete and accurate set of data as possible.
Thus Dave Liep is just reporting data/numbers/statics and he doesn't really delve into Voter Fraud.

So, contrary to the results provided by the state and federal election commissions, as well as the research done by Snopes and other such groups who delve ad infinitum into such things, you are in agreement with BO's declaration that there was rampant voter fraud and a 110% voter turnout for the 2012 General Elections?

Friends and I had this very discussion around the table on Thursday.

Did I miss his Independence Day statement?

I guess his remarks for Independence Day weren't controversial enough to make the blogosphere's version of a news cycle.

The POTUS Independance Day comments were nicely delivered.

They completely change the context of the seemingly radical statements and behavior he has delivered over the last 15 years of his political career.
