Sports executives amazed at World Cup drunkeness

In an interview with Brazil's sports television network SporTV, Jerome Valcke acknowledged Tuesday that "maybe there were too many people who were drunk" at the matches and prompted the connection between inebriation and violence.


Been to a few soccer matches in Europe and watching the fans after they've been drinking is just as much fun as watching the players.

In most other countries, if one decides to do something stupid and hurt yourself, they will let you. Most countries don't have liability laws like we do here in the U.S. of A. Something to be said for that...
