Unintended consequences
In their zeal to brag about the locating and killing of UBL, the story of how his location was confirmed through the use of CIA agents posing as aide workers providing vaccines was widely told.
Now, no one trusts real aide workers trying to provide real medical care. Add this casualty to the Pakistani doctor rotting in a prison.

White House vows CIA will not stage fake vaccine programs
Washington (AFP) - The White House has promised the United States will not use vaccination programs as cover for spy operations -- after the move was attempted during the hunt for Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.
As Pakistan suffers a resurgence of polio, a top White House official pledged in a letter dated May 16 that intelligence agencies would foreswear the tactic, which is partly blamed for the spread of the crippling disease.

I wonder if the Obama White House found out about this terrible cheater cheater pumpkin eater spy TTP by seeing it on the news?
...You know, the exact same way they claim to find out about EVERYTHING that happens in the world.
I also like how we have essentially blamed the CIA's spy tactics for the spread of polio.

This is totally lose-lose. EVERYBODY has, for centuries, used humanitarian aide venues to do a little spying.
BUT Now POTUS admits to the world that all those UN, EU, & US aid efforts must be CIA efforts. Don't forget the thousands of ministries that send their people out to help the poor and down trodden..
Anyone doing aide now has a big red dot on their back..
AQ can now quote POTUS in their PR efforts to kill the infidels. Along with all the rag-tag left-wing & right-wing potentates around the world that like to portray the US as the bad guy..

Everybody has known this since they arrested the Doc........
But the question remains was the program "fake" or was he spying while protecting kids?
Just because you are using a program as cover does not make it "fake".

That was always my understanding, while journalists, tourists and businessmen were the preferred covers. Hmmm.... Journalists???? Why doesn't the O promise to never use journalists? Particularly ones from the MSM?

Just curious, but who is this MSM that is referred to? I know of an MSM, and am not totally understanding if it's the same MSM, or a different MSM, and what exactly you mean?
