Colorado town looks into bow hunting to control deer population

The town of Elizabeth, CO is proposing opening up an early bow hunting season to help control the over population of deer in the area.

I've put this in the comedy zone not for the story, but for the one person interviewed who is against it.

I know she has a right to her opinion and can voice it any way she wishes but .... you gotta admit, the tears at the end are hilarious.

I think they should just hire Dusty.

Images of Quint from Jaws come to mind.

LOLOLOL

She's right, they should hire a contractor with a suppressed weapon and take them all out of the town......

Wish I lived there I'd have free protein year round!

They do that with the elk herds up in Rocky Mountain National Park. I don't know where the meat goes. Since it's a government program I'm guessing they're just leaving the carcasses there.

I've heard freaks talking about introducing "sterile" wolves to do it naturally. It worked at Jackson Hole, WY, only the wolves weren't sterile. Ironically, the tree huggers might get their wish since the aforementioned elk herd of Jackson Hole fueled the wolf population explosion, allowing the wolves to migrate down here to Colorado.
