Blade Auction for Great Cause

There is an auction of several custom blades going on right now at bladeforums.com to benefit the widow of knifemaker Rob Simonich. I don't know if this link will work unless you are registered there, but this is the first auction thread:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=323175

If it does not work, you can go to the main site. The auctions are in the Simonich forum under manufacturers forums. Knifemakers who have contributed custom knives to this auction include Jerry Hossom, Mick Strider, Duane Dwyer, R.W. Clark, Rob Patton, Tom Mayo and Trace Rinaldi. Darrel Ralph also contributed a knife. You can see photos of the knives here:

I hope that does well.

Rob was killed returning from a good hunt one year ago last weekend.

I wish his family the very best keeping the knife business going.

Have you guys seen his .45 grips? Maybe someone smarter than me could post a link to them here.

I have two full size 1911's both have gunners grips. My requirements are quite different from the majority here, but they work great for me. I think this was mentioned in an earlier thread but the Marines have selected them in Coyote Brown for the ICQB 1911 . Kimber will use them on thier "Warrior"(hate the name) model.
