Green light when the winds are gusting, or putting a foot in the tail of a jumper that is frozen in the door - what could possibly go wrong? Now you too can virtually find out! This is actually pretty cool: http://willinteractive.com/demos/jumpmaster/

Probably showing my age here, but

Who is the civilian guy on the radio?
They refer to him as the "STS".

The DZSO doesn't talk to the aircraft anymore (for conventional airborne)?

DZ Support Team Safety - looked like maybe a rep from range control?

Thanks for that link! Although I've never been there as a soldier, I have done jumps @ 13,000 ft. locally. (I was in trainer/tandem.) I made the right calls in the demo. I may be wrong, but I think much of it was common sense.

One question. The "gear" on the floor of the plane... was that supposed to go as well? If so, isn't the gear normally sent before the jumpers? (If not, I don't think it should have been anywhere near the exit. Just my $.02.)

It clearly states at approximately 2:17 in the video that it was "flight crew's gear" that hadn't been stowed properly.
