Poll: Mike Huckabee leads 2016 GOP hopefuls

The libs, in choosing our candidate for us yet again, don't mind if we pin our hopes on Huckabee-they're certain he can't beat Hillary. They think they've pretty much propaganda'd Christie outta the running with the bridge brouhaha.

Which one of these guys do you think worries them the most? (hint: He's not a whimpering, across-the-aisle RINO...)

http://www.politico.com/story/2014/0...ls-102813.html

In the wake of his “Uncle Sugar” comments at the Republican National Committee Winter Meeting, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has taken the lead in a hypothetical 2016 Republican primary, according to a new poll.

Huckabee gained 3 points in the past month to top the GOP field at 16 percent, according to a left-leaning Public Policy Polling survey released Wednesday.

Behind him were former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, at 14 percent; New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, at 13 percent; Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, at 11 percent; and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio tied at 8 percent.

Both Christie and Cruz suffered major falls in support in the past month, each losing 6 points since December.

The poll was conducted beginning on the day Huckabee made waves with his RNC comments, which Democrats seized on as evidence of the so-called “war on women.”

“If the Democrats want to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or reproductive system without the help of the government, so be it,” he said.

Christie’s fall from the lead also comes in the wake of the scandal surrounding his office and lane closures on the George Washington Bridge. Recently released messages show that members of his inner circle may have ordered the closures, which caused major traffic headaches, as political retribution against a mayor that did not support his campaign for reelection. Christie has denied any involvement in or knowledge of the closures.

He has also been accused of withholding Hurricane Sandy funds as political leverage by a local mayor, a charge he denies.

In addition to his fall in the primary, his favorability has plummeted. In a 27 point swing, Christie has gone from a 43 percent to 31 percent favorability last month to a 31 percent to 46 percent unfavorability in Wednesday’s poll.

On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continues to dominate the Democratic side, taking in 67 percent support to all other potential candidates’ single digits.

She also leads all her potential Republican challengers in the general election, with a 2 point lead over Christie, Bush and Ryan, a 3 point lead over Huckabee and Paul and a 6 point lead over Cruz.

The PPP surveyed 845 registered voters from Jan. 23 to 26 for its poll, which has an error margin of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points. The 457 Republican sample has an error margin of plus or minus 4.6 percentage points and the 334 Democratic sample has an error margin of plus or minus 5.4 percentage points.

I'm just gonna start preparing for and accept the fact this b**** will probably be the next POTUS, I hope the American people can prove me wrong though.

I choose Joe Biden for the Dems coupled with Bill Maher. Nope can't have two white straight men, let's see, how about Oprah and Ellen Degenerate?

GOP/dem same same, number ten. We need an alternative, a viable alternative. We need to shanghai someone. I don't think I want someone who wants the job. What was it that Groucho Marx said, "I wouldn't want to be a part of any club that would have me as a member." Or words to that effect.

I don't trust any politician, any! I wouldn't mind a CEO of a successful company, like Henry Ford. He knew enough to surround himself with people that were strong where he wasn't. No man/woman is the complete package. Maggy pissed off a bunch of people in the UK when she was PM, but she had leadership ability.

Why would someone pay millions of dollars for a job that pays $200,000 a year?

Some will parlay that millions into more millions. Some with millions have no use for it. Some with millions (of other peoples money) are very happy spending that and more...

We don't need Romney to run again. Huck's heart is in the right place, but he wouldn't help.

We need a hard-chargin' thoroughbred Conservative who doesn't have any libstink on him, period. I believe a major percentage of Repubs in seats right now know they're gonna lose their jobs and are just feathering nests.

Remember what happened to Cruz, though-backstabbed by his own party.

What we need is another Ronaldo the Great or a Maggie.

What we need Dusty is another Washington, a congress balanced with Adam's and Jefferson's and a Henry as Speaker.

I don't know about that, Bro. I'm not too much more frustrated with Obama than my Dad and his buddies were with LBJ, or that I myself was with Carter.

We just need to overhaul the truck, not scrap it.

Of course. I'm talking about the Country's leadership; not a pickup.

Hearts and minds were won by Reagan and other persons of honor and reason like him, and the situation here is ripe for just the type of transformation he affected.

Our backs aren't up against the wall, yet.

Still, it's not a bad idea to buy seeds.

I like him. I like Duncan Hunter, Allen West, Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, Rick Perry and any other Conservative with faults but correct ideals.

I even like Trump and Nugent.

All have their quirks, faults and in some cases traits that would preclude them from winning.

But-we better pick somebody and get behind them, fast; I don't care if it's a young black-hispanic gay female, but it better be a staunch, hard-core capitalist or we're all gonna be eatin' squirrel and poke salad.

If you drill down in the Public Policy Polling poll, you'll find that Palin is more popular than anyone, even with "very liberal" voters.

Search (ctrl-f) "Palin". She doesn't come up until page 22: http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/p...tional_129.pdf
