Not me, I'd defend Snowden against all comers...... the "spies" would have to go through me first.

Snowden and greenwald put the brakes on an out of control spying system. The NSA was starting to share the info with local law enforcement. It was was going in that direction.
It was leading down a bad road. Maybe Obama isn't abusing the NSA power. But what about the next president, Hillary.

Who is snowden
Has anyone looked more thoroughly into Snowden?

He must have some excellent skills or know some people do get a gig with these agencies. No education beyond HS, no experience in military, no tech certifications. I know people who have all those and still do not get hired. Also why has the only leaks been focused on the NSAs operations, where is the leaks on CIA distribution or collaboration operations?
