Green Beret Visits School

Home for the holidays for the first time in six years, Sgt. 1st Class Timothy James “TJ” Hopkins is still answering the call of duty.

So when his fiancee’s sister, Shannon Prisco, asked him to speak to her second-grade class at Mountain Way Elementary School in Morris Plains, he pulled his uniform back on and marched right over.

A decorated Green Beret with the 10th Special Forces Group, Hopkins recently completed a five-year assignment in Germany, from where he was deployed several times, including a nine-month stay in Afghanistan that ended in June.

A real SF guy, surprised they mentioned this in the article:

"His immediate plans from there included getting out of his uniform and spending more time with his finacee..."
