Man, what an amazing survival story....3 days that poor bastard had to sit in the cold darkness waiting to die.
That was one lucky spoon...I'm thinking stay on dry land from now on.

That was cool as s**t. Wow, I could not imagine a body recovery mission turning into a rescue mission! Well done lads, well done!

As if the rescue was not impressive enough, the survivor had quite an ordeal beyond waiting to die. He certainly kept his wits about him.

Also it sounded like E.T. was the rescuer
He probably got that water after the Recovery (Rescue) Diver went back to the Bell and got the other helmet and umbilical.

The Music at the end is from a very FAMOUS movie. <hint> .... "For the 50"

The Recovery (Rescue) diver sounded like ET because of the mixture used when saturation diving like they were doing. Depending on the depth, they were either using Trimix, which is a gas blend of Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Helium, or using the blend, Heliox, which is just the gas blend of Oxygen and Helium.

Break .....

Did anyone happen to catch at what depth they were at?
I saw a depth given but was only able to see a partial number. All I could make out was a depth of 30M.

From the printed article "...We commenced a survey on arrival and found the vessel sitting on the sea bed upside down in 32 metres of water, the stern buried into the mud and the keel at the bow some 20 mertres......"

Thanks Pete.

A little over 100 to the sand, working between 65 and 95 feet, recovery of crew of 12, with one of those being a rescue. Props to the team, but even bigger props to Harrison for keeping his wits about him.
