Warren Buffet admits to shoplifting past

Before Warren Buffet became the world's greatest investor at Berkshire Hathway, he was an accomplished shoplifter.

Do you suppose that mindset helped him any in the business world?

Very interesting.

I've been a follower of Buffett for quite a few years.

While I'm appreciative of the financial wisdom he has conveyed over the years as found in his annual letters to shareholders, I'm also aware that the folksy old uncle image he nurtures is just that......image over substance.

He's been caught out saying one thing, while doing another in the past.......specifically during the recent GFC.

He comes across as a kind old uncle, but in reality is more often a ruthless vulture investor...which to be fair....is business. It's the carefully nurtured image that's disingenuous to me.

Buffett has written about his early years, including childhood arbitrage and investments, but never about shoplifting as I recall.
