COL (R) Charlie Norton
Gentlemen: Lynn Mariano, President Chapter XI just called, COL (R) Charles “Charlie” Norton has gone to the “Last Formation”. An original member of the First Special Service Force “The Devils’s Brigade”, he served through the Italian Campaign where that small force performed deeds that are still legendary. An official biography will be forthcoming, so I will not attempt to relate his distinguished career, let it suffice that Special Forces has lost one of its legends.
Please pass this sad news on to your members
Vaya con Dios, mi Colonel

Rest well Sir,
Prayers out for his wife.
An amazing legacy over the years....
I remain intrigued by the Korean war-era activities and the "Wolfpack".
