Wow! I'm glad to see heads roll..... And from above squad and fire team level. Gen. Amos doesn't jack around.

I'm liking Amos...holding senior guys accountable as he should...I've been to Bastion and it ain't rocket science.
I also like his armed Marine duty NCO/Officers deal which, btw, used to be Army SOP for the staff duty officer.

I agree that Gen. Amos he sets a good example.

Although the Marine General Gurganus was relieved for his inadequate protocol in security, he set the example too when he gracefully accepted it in his statement. Acknowledging you screwed up is a telling sign of a leader.

I'm glad he did.
Some very good Marines died trying to defend that flight line.
The Taliban have some very very basic operational assault skills...if they get thru your wire into your primary bases someone has really fucked up.
