Yup, got what he deserved.

I'll chalk up the passersby ignoring him as being people that witnessed it, but I honestly wonder that if that had been the lady laying there how much of the "I don't want to get involved" we would have seen.

I wonder how long it will be before he tries that again.

Good for her. I was surprised that, although she was doing pretty well by herself, no one attempted to help her or see if she was going to need help.

I am not sure it was filmed in Russia. Possibly, but if you look in the top right corner of the film, all the language is in English (or Chicago).

Besides the title of the video the first sentence is a dead giveaway....

"This footage was taken from an underground subway station in Russia."

I don't always believe everything I read on the Internet.

It just seems to me the language in their closed circuit TV would be in Russian rather than English. Raised questions for me as to the actual location of the incident.

No one helps on a Moscow subway, but they will glance over and watch. Of course, I doubt that is unique to Moscow or subways. In Moscow subways specifically, the robbers count on a grab and run -- non-violent, so any effort to (dare I say it) stand your ground usually works. In my case, a rather tall guy grabbed my rucksack and started running down the escalator in front of me. I chased him, grabbed the bag back and tripped him. Then I walked over him, continued down the escalator and on to my train. People around glanced, shrugged and he eventually hit bottom. (They are long escalators.)

But when you return to street level, approach any door and the same men that would ignore that situation would be complete gentlemen and open a door for you. (Well, for a female.)

Personally, I think it was staged.

As has been pointed out, the upper right hand corner of the screen shows "Camera 3" in English.

Also the date stamp .... It shows 05.07.2013

It very well could be the latter due to this tape just coming out.

But for me, the biggest tell that this was staged was when she "kicked" the perp in the groin. He dropped straight to his knees, landing in a somewhat erect position, allowing her to continue to pummel him,

I don't know about any of you others gents, but when ever I was "popped" in the Twig and berries, or saw any other fella get wacked there, they always ended up going straight down to the ground, rolled up in the fetal position, holding on to said groin, rocking back and forth wincing and moaning in pain.

Also to add, her kick to his groin looks like it might have been a "stunt kick". She kicks him and he "jumps up" a few inches. This acts not only to deflect some of the blow of the kick on the guy, but also adds a bit of "dramatization" to it.

Looks a little like the NYC subway system...and Huma almost lost that damn evidence...

Really, if you view that tape just right...the perp looks a bit like a certain NYC Mayoral candidate...

Considering the time format (near date) it is hardly in US. So the date - 05 July IMO.

I can't say that I have seen any in Russia. Of the ones I have seen in the US, I haven't seen a language on them other than English. Have you seen any of the feeds from the cameras there? Did they use English captions? If so, maybe it is Russian. I have my doubts as of now.
