Gun Rights Group Collecting Donations To Buy Zimmerman New Gun
July 22, 2013 11:37 AM
CLEVELAND (CBS Cleveland/AP) — A non-profit gun rights group is collecting donations to buy George Zimmerman a new firearm.

The Buckeye Firearms Foundation created the “Zimmerman Second Amendment Fund” to raise money to buy him a new gun after the Justice Department placed a hold on all evidence related to the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said during an NAACP convention in Orlando last week that the Justice Department has an open investigation into the case. The department is looking into whether Zimmerman violated Martin’s civil rights. Zimmerman was legally entitled to reclaim his gun he used to shoot Martin before the Justice Department placed a hold on evidence.

Just sweeten the deal a little. On top of that most excellent offer you already have on the table, why not also offer to prepare a nice dinner for George and his family .... I'm sure he could use it.

I wonder what they're going to buy him? A firearm of his chosing? Being that he and his family members are in danger I hope it's something potent.

In addition to the gun/training TS offered, I've seen dozens of firearm professionals (individuals, not companies) offer to get GZ a gun. Would be interesting to know what all GZ has received.

Today Buckeye posted this on their foundation website. They stayed true to their cause and donated the full amount collected, minus bank fees, via GZ's legal counsel --> $12,150.37

Kudos, Buckeye. Donations came in from 48 states and 3 countries. Now that just warms my heart. Unlike all the media stories today about Anthony Weiner and Royal Baby.

Buckeye Firearms Foundation Chairman, Ken Hanson, was on CNN tonight. [LINK]

My logic-challenged friend, piers morgan, talked to the evil gun man and attempted to trap him. He thinks Buckeye is insane for giving GZ $12,000 and attempting to arm him again.

I thought Mr. Hanson did an excellent job.
