Finally some .45 avail.

Local Walmart which I check for ammo religiously finally had 300 rds. of .45 on it's shelf yesterday it was FEDERAL 230 GR FMJ at .32 cents per round in 100 rd. boxes. I scored two boxes and now I can work on my embarrassing marksmanship with my XDS . It has been months since any handgun ammo has been available in this area.

Yes! I scored a box of Winchester .45 as well. Last box they had at Cabelas at a little higher price, but they had it.

There is ammo out there, stop using the big box stores as the gauge...I feel they are part of the problem.

The wife and I went to the range yesterday and shot off 100 rds of 9MM, 50 of .45 ACP and about 200 of 5.56.

Big box small box, sporting goods stores no matter around here handgun ammo is scarce, I have looked on sites like Gunbroker and there is ammo available not priced very realistically for the most part. What sucks is that prices had come way down and availability was good till the CT shootings.

A local Wal-Mart to me had a number of boxes of .223 Federal Fusion MSR 62 gr. This stuff:

Also quite a lot of FMJ.

I was surprised to say the least. I think things are easing a tich, over here anyway.

Ammoseek.com has a very nice format. No account required.

Some recognizable store names, and takes you to the store site for verification.
