Hung Jumper

WOW!

I like the way this ended.

I never knew this capability existed.

Anyone know what country jumps with their arms straight out?

Looks like they attached a emergency chute to his static line. Interesting. Those Brits jump like Germans.

Yes, we do for Doublebag static line RAM air parachutes over the ramp, its a feature the new RA-1 has as do other systems made by another mfgrs that have been used by other units to include the AF and marines for some time.

The device used to save him is called a HUPRA and is really quite brilliant, I don't know why we don't have it in our system quiet frankly as it is portable and can be used in Mil and civ A/C. It's quick to be employed and you could teach a monkey to set it up.

I don't know, but whoever it is - I think I see a change in the training manual coming.

I'll bet that he did less than a "Dynamite PLF!", as our Blackhats used to say. That is an amazing device. We should have that. The idea of foamimg the runways for an unconcious or severely injured towed may be practical at Bragg or Benning, but anywhere else in the world, I doubt it.
