Ashcroft, Evans resign

Attorney General John Ashcroft and Commerce Secretary Don Evans have resigned, the White House said.

Ashcroft is no real suprise and some have thought that he was told he wasn't coming back. Evans on the other hand is somewhat of a suprise. A close personal friend of the President he must have sought the greener pastures of the private sector because I don't believe the President would have fired him.
