The sale and exchange of women .........

The sale and exchange of women .........

http://www.tolonews.com/en/afghanistan/9961

"The sale and exchange of women as goods is rampant in Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province with as many as two women traded per day, according to the findings of a sociology researcher.

In a report obtained by TOLOnews, researcher Assadullah Ahmadi stated that he found some women had been traded up to five times in three Nangarhar districts – Rodat, Mohmand, and Shinwar – as part of the socially-accepted use of wives and daughters as possessions..........."

NOW remains silent on this issue - because Hey! all cultures are equal. But you Southern Baptist Bastards how dare you subjugate women the way you do!!!

Perhaps it's because NOW understands the reality that, if they speak out against an Islamic practice, they would become targets.
So it's better to rant against Christians, for they will simply turn the other cheek.

I was excited to think I could buy paris hilton, or one of her famously untalented XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Lets not get too carried away with those thoughts.

It is serious for those poor folks.

Very.

I can't imagine living a life with a broken spirit. I wonder what percentage of the women are treated "well" (not beaten/raped)......

FWIW,

NOW's mission is as follows.
Quote:
The purpose of NOW is to take action to bring women into full participation in the mainstream of American society now, exercising all privileges and responsibilities thereof in truly equal partnership with men.*
NOW's seeks to:
Quote:
  • eliminate discrimination and harassment in the workplace, schools, the justice system, and all other sectors of society;
  • secure abortion, birth control and reproductive rights for all women;
  • end all forms of violence against women;
  • eradicate racism, sexism, and homophobia;
  • promote equality and justice in our society.**
Given NOW's central focus on the status of women in America, its efforts to stop the sexual trafficking of women has centered around the United States. Nevertheless, the organization continues to place sexual slavery in an international context. This effort arcs back to at least 2000 <<LINK>>.

Human trafficking is a global issue. Here are some interesting stats to consider.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING: THE FACTS

Human Trafficking

It's mind boggling when you consider the enormity of it all.

And so it goes...
