Phoenix mayor, council open the women's bathroom door for men
On Feb. 26, the Phoenix City Council passed the so-called "Bathroom Bill," which will allow not only "transgendered" men, but also any man who thinks he is a woman to use many of the same public restrooms that women and young girls use.
The bill, which passed 5-3, is a sterling example of how a mayor and city council can quickly forego their duty to protect women and children in order to win the praise and support of special-interest groups in the community.
While opening the women's bathroom door to "transgendered" individuals and men who claim to be women, the new rules unwittingly provide a sterling opportunity for sexual predators to avail themselves of a target-rich environment.

Unbelievable. What a messed up society we are fast becoming. I knew we were in the crapper when supplier diversity now recognizes gay/lesbian/transgender as a class.. I mean really sexual identity is now a part of supplier diversity... LOL

I guess we wait for the first child to be raped by a predator in a "female" bathroom and the city of Phoenix sued for such a ludicrous law. With six million living the valley should not take long.

My aunt is a psychologist that has worked with GLBT people for more than 30 years. The stories I've heard are all so depressing - their sexual confusion and extreme mental/emotional anguish etc.
I can see some people wanting to help them be better adjusted, but I don't understand the point of making 99.7% of the population uncomfortable, or outright endangered, in order to accommodate 0.3% that are transgendered.

Why would a child be alone in a public restroom?

This was the first thing that came to mind. We had an incident in a local restaturant where a pedophile followed a young girl into the restroom of a restaurant and raped her then took off - and he wasn't invited into the restroom like what's happening in Phoenix.

Have everyone build a third bathroom. Label it as GLBT and problem solved. Why should others be put in a position like this.
Yes I know this would be a financial burden for the buisness. But in our continuing downward spiral of our morals and values that is the cost.

This PC crap is getting totally out of control. This whole gun control debate started on the pretense of keeping children safe, and now put them at risk to satisfy some PC agenda. If I were a parent in that city I would be calling for the mayor's removal from office

It was never about guns, it's about control.
It was never about human rights, it's about control.

Anybody here ever live in Europe? In many places, you go into a bathroom; queue up with the men, women, and kids; and then go in and use the toilet when one is available while everyone stands around waiting in the room with the sign that says 'TOILETTE' or 'WC' - or just go pee in the alley.
And so it goes...

Has anyone seen the actual bill or is the uproar based upon what others say/write about it?

It appears that this "bathroom bill" is an amendment to a discrimination law already on the books.
