Pew News IQ Quiz
This is a pretty good test. It indicates that the majority of Americans don't know what's going on. It's astonishing that so many people got less than half right. These results say that 80% of the (voting) public doesn't have a clue and that's pretty scary. There are no tricks here. Just a simple test to see if you are current on your information.
Test your knowledge with 13 questions, and then be ready to shudder when you see how others did.

13 of 13, top 8%.

12/13. Erred on the same-sex marriage question. The overall results are fascinating, scary nonetheless.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Had no idea what Elizabeth Warren or Chris Christie look like.
I do know who they are and the associated issues (hear about them plenty on the radio).
Tend to get news through radio and text.
The lack of TV news has been a great blessing to my blood pressure.

I'm surprised I got Warren.
I'll admit it was a S.W.A.G.

Fauxcahontas was easy. I remembered her high cheek bones.

Nailed it. Yawn.
I'm not sure that being able to recognize twitter is as essential as recognizing the Chinese flag, Syria on a map or a graph of the unemployment stats but informed is informed. Glad there weren't any questions about Gordon Beiber.
