SGM Richard Allen Perkins

Retired US Army SGM Richard Allen Perkins, 83, of 1520 Palmer Drive, Fayetteville, NC died on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Autumn Care of Raeford.
SGM Perkins was one of the original Special Forces decaders. He was a Vietnam vet and received the silver star, purple heart and bronze star.
He is survived by his wife Reiko Perkins of the home; daughter Midori Wallace of Copperas Cove, TX and two grandchildren.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC. Officiating will be Chaplain Roy F. Hill.
