Advice Please

I'm not exactly sure what kind of response i will receive but here goes. I joined this site a few months ago to do some research on SFAS and it has been helpful, but I have found my self in a situation in which the search bar can't help me with. I spoke to a recruiter a few months ago about the 18 x ray program and decided it was what i wanted. The recruiter told me I need to get a Conditional Letter of Release from my reserve unit, so I got all the paperwork together and submitted it in December. A couple of days ago I receive an email with my paperwork signed i go back to the recruiter and then he tells me I can't join because I have GED and not a high school diploma. I joined the Army (active duty) in 06 with my GED so I thought that I'd be fine. Is there any hope left for me or is the answer a plain no? I did a search but didn't find anything recently posted or that seemed to fit my own scenario.

Go and get your high school diploma. Then try again. No excuses, just do it.

I had the exact same problem about a year and a half ago.....

SOOO.... I went to college. Got about, oh... 18 credits. AND THEN!!!!!!!!!! I found out I couldn't join because my wife's legal status... bummer... But I kept going to school, now I have over 60 credits (online school and CLEP are my new best buddies).

SSOOO!!!!!!!!!! I worked my arse off, got a second job, saved up almost 8 thousand dollars, hired a lawyer, now she's a perm. resident!!!! WITH A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD!! Cool story, huh?

Now I got an 18x contract. Happy ending.

Good job, no excuses, just get it done.

In Special Forces the maximum effective range of an excuse is ZERO meters.

Not quite YET. Use that same attitude until you 1. Graduate the course, 2. Get on a team, and 3. Retire. Great initiative!

I hope one day we can call you a Brother.
