Hitler was just oen in a long line of those using registration and then confiscation as a tool for mass murder.

I recall that AR article. Hitler was the master of the slippery slope. And he also controlled the media via Goebbels. He had a film of a medical school professor showing films of mental ill and mentally handicapped children and adults. Then he asked the medical students if they would want to live in that condition. Wouldn't you want to be sterlized or euthanized? Wouldn't it be a blessing?Almost mandatory viewing. No public outcry. The sterilizations, then euthanizations of those people begun. Then the Jews. Round ups, transports, gas chambers... The left has this down pat. Abortion -- euthanasia, now guns. Remember Chuck Schummer's comment after the either the Brady Bill or the first assualt weapons ban. "This is the camel's nose under the tent. And wait till you see the rest of the camel!"

The County Clerks met in Albany to discuss the Cuomo gun law among other issues. During the meeting the State Police made a presentation to the clerks and dropped the three following bomb shells:

Beyond mailing out the initial notice letter the Counties are going to be responsible for the re certification process. Their intervention was to push this to the Counties as an un funded mandate. (This is of course in direct contradiction to the law that was passed)

The Freedom of information law opt out will have to renewed every five years. (There is nothing in the law requiring renewal of the opt out once granted.)
The State police also said that gun confiscation will be carried out as an end result of non compliance with the permit renewal process or gun registry.

I pray many state police officers and commanders don't follow illegal orders!
