NRA boycott kills outdoors show that banned assault weapons

A massive boycott sparked by the NRA and other gun-rights groups outraged that the nation's largest outdoors show banned the exhibition of assault weapons has caused the show's organizers to abruptly cancel the week-long event in Harrisburg, Pa.

Well, a good result, and good PR for the NRA in one way. But back-channels tell me the list of major vendors that pulled out was already over the 100 mark before the NRA got off the fence.

Still, ok by me.
I understand some of the vendors that pulled out are now offering little incentives on their stuff when showing them a receipt bought from another participating "pull out." Capitalism of the Willing.

It was a lot more than the NRA and, from what I read, they may not have 'lead' that boycott. I remember reading that Cabela's was to have the largest booth.

I didn't see Mathews on the withdrawn list (who I can't imagine not being represented), and know the owner & bunch of guys at the company right down the road. I need to ferret this out...
