The Big Gun..

OK, Ladies,, If you are stymied by the vast plethora of toys, for that someone special this Christmas ??

Here is one present that is sure to please,, ME and some others.. :]

Put aside your girly-man .458 Win Mag or your wimpy.50 cal and watch guys shoot a real gun, the largest center fire rifle ever made, the .950 JDJ by SSK Industries (Ohio).

Only three were ever made. This was the lightest carbine version, weighing in at 50 lbs. It shoots a .95 caliber 2,400 grain bullet at 2,100 fps using 240grains of powder, which generates 25,400 f/lbs of muzzle energy and 277 f/lbs of recoil energy.

I think I'll wait for the full auto version.

Its scary and yet amazing, what some people are making today. Seems like it would be much safer in a M2 mount with some sandbags on the legs. Shooting it like that looks like its not only going to rip a shoulder but also break your finger in the trigger guard! Still really cool though. He should make a 7.62 sabot for it...the round would be damn near plasma on target.

Same amount of powder as a .50 BMG round, with three times the bullet weight.

Can't be any worse than the shoulder fired 40mm HVGL round, or it would kill you to fire it.
