Thumbs down Obama Nativity Figurine

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/obam...-italian-shops

Figurines of President Barack Obama are appearing in Nativity scenes in shops in Naples, Italy for the Christmas season.

Craftsman Marco Ferrigno told Reuters on Nov. 7 that Obama’s reelection sparked the production.

"Every time a major event occurs we create a new figurine, and today after Obama's victory, we have made a new figurine of Obama and will put him in our ideal Nativity scene,” Ferrigno said.

Reuters reported that the shop keepers said bargain hunters could get a “big discount” on figurines of GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

Italian fans of Obama said his likeness in the nativity scenes is a portrayal of how important his role is in today's world, according to Reuters.

It's not really a political thing - they add all sorts of stuff to Nativity scenes (Precepe) there. It's kind of the Renaissance equivalent of having a bobblehead figurine made of you. My favorite is "The Crapper", which is exactly what it sounds like. Any big Precepe will have a figure of a little boy who was taking a dump during the First Christmas. I'm not sure what theological significance that has, but....

Just to give you guys some insight.
Those nativity figurines ( preSepe) made in San gregorio Armeno ( naples) will add anything that makes the news every year. Just to give you an example, there's a figurine of BHO holding bin laden's head. Not kidding. Take them as folkloric, not serious or devout.

Made it look like another team obama "contribution". Not so much an outright sale item.

Sir,

taxation in Italy's currently around 41% with some fluctuation due to different schemes on some sectors.

Sir,

if I may ask, where in Italy did you live? Just unrelated curiosity. Being an army service member I'd say around Vicenza or Pisa. Did you enjoy your stay ?

Well, if 'everyone' pays 41%, these guys should pay 82%... at least.

We should investigate to make sure Angelo Mozilo hasn't emigrated and is behind this.
