Monday Night Football- Seattle Wins?

Up front, I'm a Seahawks fan. But the end to tonight's game (and the officiating overall) was something else. If this had been Pittsburgh getting the "touchdown" with no time on the clock, their fans would be complementing the greatest refs ever. Yeah, a win is a win but this one should have an asterisk next to it. Every game so far this season is improving the bargaining position of the locked out officials. The replacements need to go back to Footlocker.

Couldn't agree more.

As Chris Collinsworth said last night on Sunday Night Football, these guys are doing the best they can (the refs) but they are the wrong guys for the job. The NFL needs to get the real deal back on the field or I'm afraid someone is going to get hurt. Whether it be a player, overzealous fans with a botched call by these guys, or the replacement refs themselves.

Tonight's game, as well as last night's game, was horrendously called. These refs have lost control of the game (IMO) and the NHL needs to get thier shit together and fast.

I don't see why we have to bring Pittsburgh into this.

We are best fans in the world

I'm a Hawks Fan. But if the Pack would have won there would be no controversy. The Refs called a def pass interference call on a Pack on 3rd down that led them on the TD drive. The game was poorly officiated. But Packers fans are seriously delusional when they think the game was stolen. Theres nobody to blame but the refs themselves. Packers fans are all screaming bloody murder, they also fail to realize their Lambeau Messiah got sacked 9 times and didn't throw a single TD. Either way Superbowl 40 had real refs and there was no outrage at all. We've been told stop your whining and move on. Now these jokers continue to whine! Everyone must really hate Seattle!

These are too funny.

Seeing I'm also a Bears fan (as well as a Broncos fan) I just had to share.

Every call in every game will increase the leverage of the "real" officials in their discussions with the NFL. "See, you have to PAY for quality"

To the original point, isn't this exactly why they tell fighters to never leave it in the hands of the judges.

Steve Young Suffers Concussion......

Steve Young Suffers Concussion Attempting To Explain Final Call In Packers, Seahawks Game

SEATTLE—ESPN medical personnel confirmed Tuesday that analyst Steve Young suffered a traumatic brain injury Monday night while attempting to explain the referees’ confusing ruling of a touchdown on the last play of the Packers, Seahawks game. “It’s evident that the replacement referees’ questionable, game-deciding call exerted a significant amount of trauma on Mr. Young’s brain and caused him to temporarily lose consciousness while attempting to grasp the rationale of calling that play a touchdown,” said neurologist Richard Spencer, adding that the woozy Young was helped off the ESPN broadcasting set immediately following his disoriented plea for the NFL to bring back the regular officials. "Given Mr. Young's history, this is certainly serious. It’s not surprising that he’s exhibiting signs of cognitive impairment. That ball was intercepted." As of Tuesday morning, Young was reportedly resting comfortably at the Harbor View Medical Center saying that the last thing he remembers from Monday night was Golden Tate pushing a defender squarely in the back and knocking him to the ground before the final pass came down.

I was unable to watch the game but watching reviews on ESPN. NFL need to start realizing that benefits and retirement pay is going to be met. The important thing that fans have to realize is going to come out of our pricing for tickets.
That find a touchdown was no touchdown Seattle Seahawk guy pushed the packers receiver and did not catch the ball. I but can't believe that official booth review did not see that. NFL please let's keep these high schoo

Booth review saw it, penalties can not be disputed or added during reviews.

If there is one thing all Americans can agree on, it is that the NFL referees just suck. On Fox this morning, two bikini footballers, noted that these were the same refs that they have had at their games. Apparently they were just as bad there. The striking refs have to be just loving this . Perhaps it is time to suit up the current refs with body armor.

So thanks NFL, for giving America something to agree on.
