Barbarian Knives

We got a sleeper around here who crafts fantastic knives.

I ordered a skinner from Barbarian a few months ago, and it butchered three pigs...still needs no sharpening...so I was pleased enough to order a fighter/pigsticker from him a while back, and I got it in the mail today-I can't say enough good things about the design, the sharpness and the "feel" of the knife.

I don't send pics (don't know how, and don't want to learn-my wife is the one who set up my avatar), but I might just screw with it this time so you guys can see this knife.

7 1/4-inch 1095 blade, sharp false edge, nonslip handle, Kydex sheath, and it is SCALPEL-sharp.

Thanks, Barbarian, for two indespensible blades.

Dusty

Great news.

I think a picture of the unfinished knife was posted on the BB not long ago. Be nice to see finished pictures.

It might be easier and quicker for you to mail me the knives; I'll take and post the pictures for you.

I emailed Barbarian a pic of the sticker and one of the skinner after processing three hogs, but he prolly won't post them, because they're cruddier than his cellphone photos.

Liar, you said you loved burning shitters, you lived for it.... and that was only a couple of weeks ago here on PS.

Barbarian - is there a slight concave recurve on the long edge, or is that just a trick of the light in the pics?

What did you get the R rating up to for the blade, and is it differentially heated to make it more field worthy?

Nice work from the pics, you need to send me one to try to break. I will finish my first one soon, I hope, I need to find a good grinder with a 12" wheel to cut the racasso then get it heat treated, etched, polished, scales cut and mounted then sharpen it...

I'll buy your first knife sight unseen for a third of what I pay for Barbarian-built ones.
