17 Afghan Partygoers Beheaded by Taliban
The attackers must misunderstand Islam.

Insurgents attacked a large party in a Taliban-controlled area of southern Afghanistan and beheaded 17 people, officials said on Monday.
The head of the local government initially said the victims were civilians at a celebration late Sunday involving music and dancing in the Musa Qala district of Helmand province. The official, Neyamatullah Khan, said the Taliban killed the party-goers for flouting the extreme brand of Islam embraced by the militants.

Of my 2 tours in the A-stan, I was involved in 90% of my firefights in the MQ district and 95% in Helmand Province!
Me thinks that Carpet Bombing would be beneficial in that area.

However, I'm not surprised the Taliban went a head with this plan.
The situation in the Afghanistan must be headed south.

If only there was someone willing to go and help these people defend themselves from this tyranny...
...someone that would help teach them how to defend themselves
...help them secure weapons and equipment needed to secure their home
...someone that would help them connect with their government to deal with savage lawlessness like this
It sounds like a good plan, but maybe I'm getting ahead of myself.

At some point they have to care more than the people trying to help them. Unfortunately this hasn't happended yet, I dont know that it ever will.
