Not going to happen. And we should all hope and pray it stays that way for the next 21 days. Uncle Joe is the gift that keeps on giving.
Obama nuetured HIllary when he made her Sec State, there is no way in hell she is going to agree to be on his ticket.
Plus if he does it now, it makes him look like he is scared of Ryan, because we all know Ryan is going to ROAST Uncle Joe in their debate.
If anything, I would bet Obama is telling him that he is not going to be out campaigning by himself any longer, and then he will issue him his muzzle.

If they are in panic mode, likely, they could take drastic steps. obama is well known for having a fleet of busses to throw friends and supporters under. The question I have is, will the Sec of State agree to the VP slot if offered?
Our current VP is like a chicken watching television, really unfair to over roast the guy. Better plan is for Ryan to go after obama, just like he is doing now.

If I was Obama, I'd do whatever it took to get Billary on the ticket.

Dining at the same table with those three would spoil my appetite.

The other night, on GVS's show, Palin said that he should drop Joe for Hillary. How would it look if he took her advice?

Would a woman who loves power as much as she does leave the most visible and arguably the most powerful cabinet position for the VP's backwater? I don't know. Right now she travels the world, gets quoted everyday, lots of face time on the networks. I just don't see her wanting to disappear for 4 years.
Also, he came out of nowhere in '08 and derailed her almost assured Presidential nomination. She's gotta have a little bile over that, don't you think? I mean, it's Hillary Clinton we're talking about.
And wouldn't Biden have to be convinced to fall on his own sword and resign?

If Obama wants her to run, and he's got something on her, she'll run.

Don’t think so
I don’t think that Hillary would voluntarily allow herself on this ticket.
If she were to run for President in 2016, she would be 70 years old – so that’s doubtful.
Øbama offers her nothing, except probable defeat at the polls.
I also think that BillyBob (who, to give him credit, is a master politician) would advise against her joining the Øbama circus.
She is 65 years old, and appears to have “settled” for Secretary of State as her pinnacle.

I would almost say that another version of that statement could read like this...
If Obama asks her to run, it's BECAUSE he's got something on her.

Golda Meir became PM of Israel at age 70! (I'm NOT saying Hillary = Golda!)
IF she has a chance at the presidency, it IS in 2016. As Obama's VP, she'd be tainted by the coming economic 'tough times'. As Sec of State, she's insulated from the economic bad news, but wouldn't be by being VP.
I'll say it again... only shot for her is 2016, which means Romney must be elected in 2012. (8 years of Obama with NO improvement would equal an R in the WH in 2020... no matter who or what!) So...what's Billy Bob going to suggest to her? Stay where she is, if Obama is re-elected... bail after a year or so, and start the drum beating for 2020.

Is the vice presidency still a back water worth little more than a bucket of warm spit? Or are we now in an era in which the VP's job is what the POTUS makes it? If negotiations are in progress, the secretary of state could make accepting the slot contingent upon receiving an established set of responsibilities that could spring board her candidacy for the 2016 election.

FWIW, an earlier discussion of the president's relationship with the secretary of state is available here.

Hope 'n Chains
And what's on the end of that chain? Why it is that anchor Joe Biden, sinking the Obama campaign deeper into the sewer.

On this rare occasion, I have to agree.
Biden will take one for the team, and claim health issues, family, etc., if asked by BO.
Hillary was not offered enough today to get her to agree. She is looking at 2016. IIRC, she limited herself already to one term as SecState. No where else to go but VP or home, unless he offers her SecDef next term.
The POTUS has 21 days left to sweeten the pot, and get her on the ticket. Don't assume this is a done deal, yet.
