To all paratroopers out there; have a great day!

To all non-paratroopers; you have a great day too.

To all non-paratroopers, get down and knock out twenty! And you have a great day too.

A day to salute those who seek "a rendezvous with destiny" and all who mentor them along the way. Airborne!

A very happy Airborne Day from South Africa

We celebrate San Michel Day as our airborne day on 29 Sept. As you all probably know St Michael the Archangel is the patron saint of paratroopers and airborne soldiers. This tradition was imported from France by one of our airborne leaders, Colonel Jan Breytenbach after he attended a French Special Forces course in France many years ago. The advent of the internet and the worldwide brotherhood of the airborne soldier has now added your day to the calendar for the observation of celebrations.
Cheers to the Airborne, wherever they may be.

Out of curiosity how did you manage to jump out of a B-52C?
