James Taranto pointed out earlier this week that this whole stink is indicative of the Left's totalitarian streak, and the insincerity with which they invoke defense of "free speech." When certain radio stations refused to play the Dixie Chicks for their criticism of Bush's policies, the Left cries censorship. When the tables are turned and one of their own is the target of the attack, they want the government to suppress the speech. When the only speech you want to flow freely is your own demagoguery, then you're no friend of freedom.
And as for an in-kind contribution to the Bush campaign - wouldn't the same be true about Fahrenheit 9/11 and Kerry? LOL, ahhhh the Left. Reminds me of a Voltaire quote: "I've only ever prayed for one thing: 'God, make my enemies absurd,' and he granted it."

Great quote D9
Quote:
...the senators led by Dianne Feinstein of California asked the FCC to determine whether the airing of the anti-Kerry program is a ''proper use of public airwaves''...

I hope it plays around these parts.
I would also like to see a movie with positive spin about the life of George W. Bush. Does anybody have one to recommend?

I have heard that Sinclair may be backing down. Lawsuits and violence in some states have shut down presentations. Found most of the info on Free Republic.
Mr McManus indicated last night that either scenes will be cut for presentation or it won't play at all.

It didn't play here
I hadn't seen Guinness' post about Sinclair back off prior to last night.
Yep, they pulled it here.
According to the TV program line up in the newspaper, it was scheduled to be shown. When I turned it on, they were running "Charmed" for 2 hours instead.
Yet, even the banner at the bottom of the screen identified that the program we were watching was "Stolen Honor".
I called the local Sinclair station, just to hear what they had to say about the programming change. Nobody answered the phone. Why am I not surprised.

I don't think its very smart for th libs to force it off of tv and onto the internet. The pajamahadeen blogger people are still euphoric after what they did to CBS and now the libs give them another cause? I think the average internet user is probably more intelligent than the average tv watcher.

Interesting. Personally I am glad it will be available on internet for free because a) I dont really get TV reception, b) it would have only played on limited stations.

If I understand you, what you said is that the quality of the viewers intelligence would be increased. But what you are implying is that the quantity of viewers would be increased as well. These postulates are not mutually inclusive.
exitus in dubio est
In any case, I dont feel like discussing "Stolen Honor" tactically, as if it were propaganda

Of course it is propaganda. If the target was Jose Blow the Rag Man, would the film be made?
Being propaganda doesn't make it false.
