2012 MLB All-Star Game

Do they know how to play defense in the America League??? 5-0 NL leads after 1 inning...

There, I fixed it for ya.

(Harrumph! The NL should just play each other, since they play baseball and the AL plays that 'other' game with 10 people.)

Absolutely agreed. There were no shortage of embarrassing defensive plays last night....but such is the case when you amass a group of players together who haven't had time to develop chemistry. I'm just glad the NL secured homefield advantage, just in case my Reds make it to the big dance. Fingers crossed!

Good for you. As Harry would say, "It might be.... it could be...."
Since the Cubs are just slightly out of the running I'll have to back the Cards. (People who don't understand that don't actually understand the Cubs/Cards relationship.)

Hope is about all I have as a Reds fan these days. From what I have observed these past few seasons, I'm not certain they are even close to getting over the hump (though I certainly hope I'm mistaken). This means that I spend a good deal of my Baseball time experiencing nostalgia for the good ole days of the Big Red Machine as well as the 1990 club. And I suppose I maybe understand the sentiment to root for STL in light of the Cubbies' struggles this year. I can never bring myself to cheer for either of them though. If not the Reds in the NL Central, then maybe the Pirates? (Only because a certain former employee, Mr. Clemente, is one of my all-time favorite players).

I am beginning to seriously regret saying the above! Go Redlegs!!! 10 Ws in a row isn't half bad...
