When I was in England last fall, I had the pleasure of meeting a WWII RAF veteran who had, at one point, served on the intelligence staff of General Patton (IIRC). I knew it was a real treat to meet and listen to the stories of someone who had been a part of the effort to defend the British homeland in those dark years.
These heroes, and all of the Greatest Generation, will never be forgotten and their sacrifices and legacies will live on forever...
