That reminds me of something a teacher said to a friend of mine I had in school...

This buddy of mine Jack did not like English at school, he wasn't much of a student, but he particularly hated English.

When it came to enrolling in Grade 11, he walked right up and advised the Dean of a specific bylaw in the education system that allowed him to not have to take grade 11 English, even though it was a compulsory subject.

The Dean's response was "Jack, if only you applied yourself in life as much as you do in trying to not apply yourself in life..."
