Metal detector hobbyists find possible WWII remains

GRAFENAU, Germany — It was an unusual rendezvous: a small group of Americans, a couple of German homicide detectives and a small bag of bone fragments.

Deep in the woods, about 20 miles southwest of Stuttgart, Kolby Lanham, a Spangdahlem airman, handed over the bone fragments he’d found.

The rest of the story is found here: http://www.stripes.com/news/metal-de...mains-1.178603

Will have to check this place out when I get back from my trip. pretty close to home.
