Afghanistan army boot deal row

Afghanistan army boot deal row

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-18030682

"As Nato's pull back from Afghanistan speeds up, it has now handed over the crucial business of buying everything from guns to boots for the country's new army.

But the process has been thrown into confusion by a decision to cancel a contract for making boots given by the US to an Afghan company.

Andrew North reports...."

Video at link. Interesting angle on boots.

That is so wrong in soooo many ways!! Looks like they aren't planning on equipping an army after all!! Unless they are out begging, for some other country to supply them for free!!

Conventional ANA typically sell everything extra they have.. Uniformes, boots, etc.

Officers are the worst. Once we pullout it well good back to the strongest hand or fist wins. I can't wait for the full turn over.

Boots for cheap?

I bought a pair of the Kabul Milli boots for $40, I wonder what taxpayers paid for them?

They look like Bellville copies and appear well made.
