Fort Carson getting new garrison commander

Fort Carson is getting a new garrison commander who is responsible for the post's infrastructure.
Col. Robert F. McLaughlin will transfer command to Col. David L. Grosso in a ceremony Thursday.
McLaughlin has been garrison commander since June 2009. He is deploying to Afghanistan, where he will serve as chief of staff for U.S. forces.
Grosso is deputy commander of the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Carson.

Pic is Grosso turning over command of the Intl Special Training Center in 2009 in Pfullendorf, Germany.

One of my Tm leaders

Cpt Grosso was one of my Tm leaders, 011 Stugart i was Tm SGT
We deployed into Serejevo Bosnia Dec 05.
Glad he did well !
Good guy and good officer But He had come from the ranger REG to SF so we didn't exactly see things the same way but worked it our the way Tm SGTs and leaders do.

Last time I attended a course with this school it was in Weingarten and named the Internattional Long Range Reconnaisaance Patrol School (ILRRPS). That was probably 1985/6
