History of ROBIN SAGE...good read

A good history put together by the Deputy Command Historian USASOC

History of ROBIN SAGE...good read

I see a few errors! Cherokee Trail and Goobler Woods were the FTX for the old SFOC. Det-10 3d Gp was the G-Chiefs and whatever.

SFTG ran a Branch FTX in Pisgah.
We had 6 weeks of classroom UW training and a 2 week FTX in Pisgah.

There was also map reading , patrolling.

It's only been 47 years since I sat in that building. ;-))

We had our commo FTX in Pisgah in 1971. I think it was all uphill...

WOW, so my memory is not failing, I thought Goobler Woods was and SFOC course.

Well maybe a bit in some areas.

That was the way Phase 3 was run in Uwharrie in '71-'72; not sure how long after that it changed.
