Bill Joyner
I just found out from the FB SF Brothers page that Bill Joyner passed away today. He was my Team Sergeant on 014 and a hell of a man. RIP Brother. Never forgotten.

Knew Bill in Stuttgart. He had moved before I went upstairs but I ran into him a few times over the years. Always a positive attitude.
Rest well

Bill was a great guy, and the courage and determination he displayed during his running battle with cancer for the past three years was an inspiration that we should all remember.
He fought the good fight and expended all rounds. Well done, hermano.
Save us a good seat, we will see you again one day.
Thank you for your service, and your sacrifice.
Prayers out for Bill and his family.
RIP, brother.

Rest in Peace Bill ... you are a hell of a man.
Thanks for the stories and the foo-foo drinks. Made the times at USASFC(A) bearable.

Bill and I were in C Co 4/10th INF at Ft Davis, Panama back in 82-84.
Both put our SF packets in together.
Great man. He'll be greatly missed.
Prayers to his family.

Gone,but not forgotten.
God Bless,Rest in Peace Warrior....
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn_iz8z2AGw
He was just a simple soldier and his ranks are growing thin
But his presence should remind us; we may need his like again,
For when countries are in conflict, then we find the soldier's part
Is to clean up all the troubles that the politicians start.
If we cannot do him honor while he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage at the ending of his days.......
Perhaps just a simple headline in the paper that might say:
OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING, FOR A SOLDIER DIED TODAY. (author unknown)
The passing of our soldiers often go unnoticed and unsung by most of the world, remembered only by family and friends. Wish it were not so. May he RIP, his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.........
I realize it's a Canadian song, however I believe most appropriate for this occasion..
