How the Lone Star state, views the rest of us
Well, I live in the state of Colorado, which is NOT an annex of Tex-Ass, as some of them down there think we are.
Y'all have a nice day ... Ya Hear.

Guess it's all a matter of perspective. When I was a kid, I always thought Earwigs were scary bugs that came out of your ears...so you can imagine my fear when I first heard there were Cockroaches out there!
Tell Colorado they don't have to worry about Texas.

You're okay .... you get a free pass.
To move out of the P.R.B. and into an area known for it being "The Land Of The Free" .... (Okay Texas, I'll give you that) ...... I still can't forgive that state for the heinous act of 1993.
Nope. No forgiving on my part for that one.
Maybe if THAT didn't happen, I'd be more tolerant of that state.

Eh ..... they were out of towners.
But no, the event that happened in '93, IMO was much, much worse.

When I lived in the DFW "Metroplex" in the early 80's (didn't everybody?) the Dallas Ski Club had a tee shirt with a map of the Republic of Texas superimposed over the current map of the western states... and it included most of the ski areas in NM and CO!
It said, "Ski Texas"!

We had plenty of Texans attending Colorado School of Mines.
It was easy to get them worked up.
Just had to tell them that if you mashed the mountains of Colorado flat, it would be bigger than Texas.
(There was always an immediate, indignant response: TEXAS HAS MOUNTAINS, TOO!)
Concerning whether Colorado is an annex of Texas, I'd have to say that Lake City was annexed at least 3 or 4 decades ago.
