Portland, OR - Training Partner/Tough Mudder Team

Hi all,

Recently moved to Portland, OR and am pretty serious about joining the National Guard. Looking for any others in the area who are interested in training for the Guard (specifically, Special Forces) or any other service. Also trying to put together a Tough Mudder team for the events in June and September. Finally, looking for people interested in doing active stuff in the PNW (skiing, hiking, surfing, drinking, etc). I work in a small office and no longer work with anyone my age or who shares similar interest, so I have to use the internet to find someone to train with/friends. That may sound sad and pathetic, but I can assure you that it is not. Send me a PM if interested.

P.S. Apologize if this is not the right place to post this, but I saw a few similar posts in the thread and didn't see anything in the rules against it, so I thought I would give it a shot.

Which event in September were you thinking of entering? There are three on this side of the states:

I'm already signed up for the SoCal #2 July 7th as well, from what I have heard it is one of the more challenging courses due to elevation:

How early are you flying out? I was thinking of getting acclimated, like at least a couple days before. The elevation difference always kills me, especially on the second day.
