Show and Tell

One of the carpenters building our deck brought this puppy in to show us today. According to the UofA, it's a Mammoth tooth. He found while hiking near here a couple of years ago.

That's pretty cool.

My older son (6) loves animals and dinosaurs. Whenever we go hiking, he wants to look for fossils. The other day he found what looks like a fox jaw. He was pretty thrilled. A find like that would make his decade.

This guy is an old, sandal wearing, hippie who was probably stoned when he stubbed his toe on the tooth. Kind of like a yuppie kayaker who tips over and bonks his head on a fist sized nugget just yards from a prospector who has been panning the river for 20 years. It's just luck.
