Parts Compatability for Mk 46/48?

I apologize if this has been discussed here previously but right now between working on conops and training our conventional forces and still getting all of our property and living conditions squared away from the RIP, I am kind of pushed for time. That being said, what I am looking at right now is we have some conventional guys working with us right now who are currently using M249's with the new collapsible butt stocks, the same type that we are using with our Mk 46's. Does anyone know if you can use the butt stocks from the Mk 46 on the Mk 48? I disassembled them, checked out the buffers and they look similar enough. If anyone has any insight on this please shoot a response.

I think I still have the parts lists at the house. When I get home this evening, I can see if they are the same.

They work just fine.
We have used them for the last 18 months. No problems so far.

Alright, thanks for the input guys. Just wanted to get some input before we switch them up and use them out on mission. If you have been using them no issues then sounds like a Go to me. Thanks again guys.

I have a MK46 manual I can email you. You can probably cross reference some of the items with the M249 manual. When I went through the course I believe that they told us the parts commonality was something like 80%.
