Sheriff with a good attitude!

I like this Sheriff! He knows the real deal and apparently isn't afraid to tell it like it is. We need more like him and Sheriff Joe!

That's great.

Good to have a law enforcement officer state the obvious:

"When seconds count, police are only minutes away."

I am all about carrying. The crappy part of it for me is...that states require a CCW permit...and the Federal Government does not recognize them...or the 2nd amendment right. I have a GA CCW, and work on a military installation...can't keep a gun in my vehicle (or person) cause Uncle Sugar says he doesn't recognize the 2nd amendment. OK...maybe not "excatly" in those words...but damn it if it doesn't amount to the same thing.

Now, traveling to visit my folks up in VA, I got to pass thru South Cackalacky ... and they don't recognize the GA CCW permit. WTF? Probably because the GA CCW permit only requires a background check. So to me, GA has the permit only as a means to generate revenue. I know one of the PS.com resident lawyers can explain how the 9th or 10th Amendment allows the federal government or state to regulate the 2nd Amendment. I just think it sucks...and I totally understand the counter-argument that "What, you want those OWS folks to be able to carry guns?"
