Whitetail mounts home...finally
The mounts from last December's Texas deer hunt finally made it home. This was the wife's first hunt and she got the one on the right with her .30-06.

I like the way you placed your wife's mount a smidgen lower on the wall, and had sort of a demure look taxidermied into it's countenance.

I was merely the free labor, she was supervising the placement. Oh, and she chose the poses with them facing each other. Now she wants to shoot a red stag in Argentina to place above the deer.

Check into New Zealand- There are Red Stag down there along with Tahr, Elk, wild boar and various goats. Used to be only a $10 Rifle permit, no hunting license required. Plus English is spoken and they have better medical care. The Kiwi's are trying to get rid of imported species to return their environment to pristeen conditions...
Guides, pack animals, helicopters, etc are extra... Also, no handguns...

I have checked into NZ, but it is way more expensive than Argentina from what I've found. Someday, perhaps.
