I highly recommend one read the 2nd part as well(you need to share your email address), especially their analysis on American exceptionalism, its roots, and why many in this country fear and despise it. Additionally, their view on the military's draw up/draw down cycles in between conflicts is IMHO spot on. One thing IMO that is lacking is an analysis on our fiscal policies with regards to social services a.k.a entitlements and increased government involvement in big business. My .002, YMMV
